Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody

Marvel Comics anti-hero and cult favorite Deadpool is stoked to finally get a big budget parody of his own, directed by the famed Axel Braun. In true meta fashion, the story centers on the “production” suffering multiple setbacks and Deadpool finding his dreams of banging his way through a raunchy fuckfest with all the best female talent in the business dashed time and time again. When he gets unexpected news about the film’s future, Deadpool must make a choice that could change the course of reality forever.

The costumes in this movie look great (they always do in Axel’s comic parodies) and there are a ton of industry insider and comic lore jokes, as well as political and social controversy jabs. The Deadpool character really lends itself to this type of humor because of the whole “breaking the 4th wall” and expected vulgarity that he is known for. Braun takes full advantage of that flexibility which allows him to take massive liberties with the story. Seth Gamble uses every bit of leeway allowed to him to deliver a fantastic imitation performance of Ryan Reynolds. Seriously, Gamble deserves some best actor nominations for his work here. I honestly forgot it was him under the mask because all I saw was Deadpool.

The movie opens with some real zingers at comic fandom, social movements and the POTUS, before we get introduced to Domino (Foxxx) and Domino (White) who engage in a fine G/G scene that avoids becoming a B/G/G scene in hilarious fashion. It’s a joke that would work on its own, but it works so much better because it’s a Deadpool joke. Both ladies really go to town when they’re going down on each other.

When Deadpool visits his buddy’s bar to lament is lack of action, white Domino shows up to save the day and we’re treated to a fun blowjob. Jennifer White shows that she’s just as enthusiastic about sucking dick as she is about licking clit and she gives her neck a real workout as she bobs up and down on Deadpool’s cock hungrily. The scene ends in unexpected fashion which leads us directly into a sexy encounter between Elektra (Rain) and The Punisher (Nomar) which is explained with yet another nicely placed 4th wall joke. It’s such a great tool to have at one’s disposal, because it literally lets you do whatever you want without needing story exposition to explain why it’s happening.

Rain and Nomar engage in some kinky fun while Deadpool watches in a very inventive take on the voyeur trope and I thought the best thing about the scene (besides Romi riding the hell out of Ramon) was the lighting. The only illuminated things in the room were Romi and Ramon and the effect was aesthetically pleasing. It really directed the eye to the action. I also thought it was cool that Axel chose to use Elektra’s classic outfit instead of the one seen in the streaming show.

The movie takes a hard left from all the campy gags to get serious when Cable (Armstrong) and Lady Deadpool (Drake) show up from the future with an ominous warning. Armstrong does his best (and admittedly good) Batman-esque voice, while Drake has what I thought was the funniest line in the movie, when she denies an accusation levied at her by Deadpool. Her exclamation that “he lies” is perfectly timed, her voice has the perfect comedic drip and the way she cocks her head is fantastic. It is just a single line but she delivered it perfectly and it actually made me laugh out loud.

Speaking of Drake, we get to see her get fucked by classic Wolverine (the yellow suit) and like the previous scene, the setting visually enhances the sex. I love the way Drake’s costume opens up around her ass too. The most striking moment of the scene is the quick cut to Drake taking a fairly aggressive throat bang right after some dialogue. That was a nice bit of editing.

We conclude with a fun four-way that pokes some fun at an old industry myth and then treats the audience to the brilliant visual of Deadpool fucking Deadpool. The movie is worth a view for this moment alone and as a bonus, it features the first time that Seth Gamble and Jessica Drake have penetrative sex on camera in a Wicked film. Watching Drake fuck with the Deadpool mask covering half her face is also a very hot visual that I didn’t know I wanted until I got it.

The movie ends on a bit of a cliffhanger that leaves the audience guessing. This movie really exceeded my expectations: Visually, it was great to look at (as most of Axel’s parodies are) and Gamble’s performance alone makes the movie a must-watch especially for fans of the Deadpool character. Drake is funny, Armstrong is menacing and Will Ryder is awesome in a non-sex role that really holds the plot together in the first half of the movie. I watched this movie on Wicked.com, so I was not able to view any of the special features.
