A number of conservative organizations are attempting to put pressure on Comcast Corp. to drop all pay-per-view porn programming in Pennsylvania. Comcast had revenue of $18.3 billion in 2003, of which $50 million is derived from porn each year, the groups say.
Comcast Corp. is getting into the video-dating business with a deal announced Thursday. The nation’s largest cable company has struck an agreement with HurryDate.com, a company founded in 2001 by web entrepreneurs Ken Deckinger and Adele Testani.

The nation's largest broadband Internet service, which has more than 5.7 million subscribers, said it has implemented blocks based on subscriber accounts with the most outbound activity.
Comcast made a hostile bid of $54 billion for Disney in February that gave way to weeks of public contention and indifference. One of the nation's largest cable television providers with 22 million subscribers, Comcast is also a major distributor of porn movies and pay-per-view programming.
