According to a San Diego Boy representative, the studio showcases “marines, sailors, students, surfers, jocks, and your everyday boy-next-door hunks,” from local San Diego-area talent.
“After two weeks of testing and developing new affiliate tools for the site, we are proud to officially release SDBoy.com, our newest zBuckz joint venture,” zBuckz CEO DannyZ, said. “This is the first time that San Diego Boy's photos and videos have been made available on the web, which makes the site truly fresh and exclusive for consumers.”
San Diego Boys director/producer Bruce Baker was equally enthusiastic about the site launch.
'It's exciting to finally see the San Diego Boy paysite up and running,” Baker said. “Customers and fans of my video line have been asking when an exclusive site would be available and I am thrilled we can now give it them. The site offers the highest quality videos and exclusives as well as never seen before production photos of all our models and videos."
DannyZ, who just last week took over sole proprietor of the zBuckz affiliate program as well as its production company Boykakke Films, told XBIZ that he is also focused on designing websites for content producers new to online expansion, and that would include customized online marketing and promotional packages as well.
“There are so many different skill sets that are involved with creating adult online websites, that unless the studio is truly experienced in web design and marketing or have a lot of time and money to invest, I'd advise them to team up with an experienced marketing partner,” DannyZ said.
“It is often difficult for DVD producers to market themselves to their full potential online. You need designers, programmers, marketing people and editors to run a successful adult web company — and it is a huge investment,” he added.
“Likewise, filming content is also a very specialized job that takes a great amount of time, hard work and investment. By using an experienced adult affiliate program, studios can save themselves tons of time and money in establishing themselves online. It's really a win-win situation, and I think we are going to be seeing a lot more of these types of partnerships being formed in the industry,” DannyZ said.
With experience in both online and hard product distribution, DannyZ feels that he has experience that can be of value to producers that have limited online skills. His track record with his own affiliate site, DannyZ said, gives him a broad understanding of how to market content to niche audiences.
"The first thing I focus on [when designing a site] is creating the highest quality product with the surfer in mind. It needs to be attractive, user friendly, updated frequently and I need to feel passionately about the content that is featured. Then I look for an angle, such as a niche or micro niche to target. All the sites we create are unique and original, and have something to grab the consumer and pull them in,” DannyZ said.
“An example of how I do this is by using unique titles or text, as well as eye-catching samples. We have had much success with 'Boykakke,' the first gay Asian site devoted to the 'bukakke' niche, and I believe much of that can be attributed to the catchy title,” he said, explaining the details involved with creating a standout online venue.
DannyZ also described the customizable features that add extra appeal for consumers and affiliate partners.
“I try to add a personal touch. With the latest site, SDBoy.com, all the writing comes from the perspective of the director/producer who speaks to the customers directly as if they are his best friends joining him on the filming shoot,” he said.
“I think it is very important to connect with the audience you are trying to reach. Finally, I work with my team of designers to create top-notch affiliate tools for our webmasters. We are lucky to have hundreds of great webmasters that send us traffic, and my goal is to do all I can to work closely with them and give them the best tools and support to sell our sites,” DannyZ added.
SDBoy.com is the 10th paysite to come under the zBuckz affiliate program umbrella, which includes several gay Asian members sites, as well as the members sites for gay production company Hot Desert Knights.
The program offers webmasters up to 60 percent revshare, $40 pps and 10 percent on webmaster referrals.
