“When we first heard about Ron’s struggle there was only one decision to make, and we decided to help out in any way we could, as he is truly an adult industry pioneer,” said X-Play/All Media Play president Jeff Mullen. “Each time I would bump into him, he always had a smile on his face and kind words for me. In fact, he just sent me a nice email this morning, but I know he is hurting.”
Pachard, an adult movie pioneer, has been an inspiration for many in the adult industry business who can’t remember a time when shooting adult was illegal.
“He was here long before any of us even thought about starting up our companies,” said "Not the Bradys XXX" co-producer Scott David. “We’re happy to be in a position to help out a bit and the check is truly in the mail.”
LA Direct Models owner Derek Hay was also quick to contribute a check.
“Ron is a gentleman of the first order," Hay said. "There are far too few of his ilk remaining in our business; he is an example and role model for all. We have learned much from him, and feel indebted as a result. We are pleased to help where we can.”
