AWE Taps Katie Smith to Lead Business Development

LOS ANGELES — Industry veteran Katie Smith has been selected to oversee business development for Adult Webmaster Empire (AWE), an affiliate program whose main consumer products focus on live video, chat and niche websites.

"Our traffic sources are healthy. Revenue growth is strong historically and rising," Smith said. "We have the capital to develop, test and nurture our partners. It's time to take the business to the next level and explore new territory."

One of the ways Smith plans to take AWE to the next level is by developing an all-new AWE white label tool for leading traffic generators.

"It's our goal to prove to affiliates that our system will generate more money than any competitor. And we're willing to put our money where our mouth is. This upcoming program is as close to a guarantee as it gets," she said.

A former senior director for Playboy Online, Smith most recently was head of New Media for Playboy TV, where she produced the company's first subscription website loyalty program, enhanced targeted cross-sale programs and oversaw new and optimized product development that increased lifetime customer value resulting in over $2 million in found revenue the first-year, and doubled that number the second-year.

Smith also led the new media team in launching the company's first-ever dedicated viral-social-video networking group and related data acquisition programs for the TV division.

"Playboy is one of the finest brands in the world. I'm proud of my working relationship and success with our teams at the media center in Los Angeles and the digital media and corporate office in Chicago," Smith said. "Now it's time to bring more good things to life with AWE's proven successful team."

Smith is also the founder and advising partner of (THROB) 3ob.com, operated by her partner in the firm, Jeff Random.

Current AWE affiliates and partners are encouraged to continue working with their existing account representatives. Potential white label partners with feedback, tool suggestions and business ideas can contact Katie Smith at (888) AWE-3221 or by email at katie.smith@awempire.com
