“TitanMen.com.au is honored to be a part of the JOY Classics launch,” marketing director for distributor Cal Vista Dean Beck said. Cal Vista distributes Titan product in Australia.
“JOY 94.9 continues to play such an important role in Melbourne’s GLBT community, and we hope that Alex’s involvement at the launch will ensure huge sales of the CD, enabling JOY to continue their tremendous work,” he added.
Baresi will kick off the tour at a launch party on Thursday, at the Xchange Hotel in Melbourne alongside Australian GLBT celebrities Tania Doko, Trevor Ashley (aka Priscilla), Shirley Davis, Supergirly and the Melbourne Rainbow Band.
On Friday, Baresi will sign for fans at the Dungeon Warehouse in Melbourne and then appear the same day at the Sircuit Bar in nearby Fitzroy.
The tour will be capped off on Saturday, when Baresi will be a guest on JOY 94.9’s “Detours” program and then attend the Pimps and Porn Stars Party, at Melbourne’s Docklands later that evening.
JOY 94.9 is Melbourne’s premiere GLBT radio station, and revenues from the Classics CD will go to support the station.
The double CD-set features classic GLBT hits including “What Do I Have to Do” by Kylie Minogue, “You’re Making Me High” by Toni Braxton, “Giving Up, Giving In” by Sheena Easton and “I Want That Man” by Deborah Harry, among others.
Baresi, who was at the seminars and awards show held in San Francisco this past weekend, told XBIZ that he was very excited about his appearances in Australia and that Titan had been receiving many inquiries about the tour.
Baresi, Titan Media Vice President Keith Webb and other representatives from Titan leave for Australia today.
