Domain Name Auction To Raise Funds For ASACP

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) will be a beneficiary of Moniker.com’s domain name auction at the Internet Expo in Las Vegas next week. This is the third year that domain asset management services company Moniker.com will be holding an auction of premium adult domain names.

More than 200 domain names will be on the auction block during the three-hour event at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Tuesday, January 15th beginning at 4:00 pm PST. The auction takes place during the Internext Expo which is a business-to-business online and digital media adult entertainment industry conference. An additional 2,000 domain names will be available for purchase during a concurrent online auction beginning January 15 and running throughout the week.

ASACP will receive all of the proceeds from the live auction sale of the domain name AdultPhotoExchange.com.

“Moniker fully supports the mission of ASACP and its commitment to protecting children’s welfare online,” said Monte Cahn, co-founder and CEO of Moniker.com. “We believe that AdultPhotoExchange.com could fetch bids for several thousand dollars and the funds raised will notably impact ASACP operations and draw attention to its positive work around the Internet.”

“Last August Moniker.com donated a domain name and the proceeds from the sale raised $2,400 for ASACP so we are obviously very excited that they are including us again in this auction,” stated ASACP’s Executive Director Joan Irvine. “Raising funds is always a very difficult and time-consuming process for any organization, I am so grateful that Moniker.com has stepped up to help us further our mission to protect children.”

Moniker is a top 10 domain registrar as well as the leading provider of Domain Asset Management, a complete set of business services that includes name creation, registration, acquisition, portfolio management, appraisal and escrow services, traffic monetization and after-market sales. Moniker holds the industry's highest customer retention rate and is considered an industry’s premier marketplace to buy and sell domain names.
