CommerceGate Adds 2 Payment Service Pros to U.S. Team

BARCELONA, Spain — Online processor CommerceGate has decided to increase its market focus in the U.S. by adding two new Internet payment service professionals to its U.S. team.

“CommerceGate is excited about expanding our Internet payment service operations in the U.S. market,” CEO Bjorn Skarlen said. “We are expanding our team to meet the demands of our continued growth.”

The new CommerceGate employees are Steve Leyden in Secaucus, N.J., who will handle U.S. client support, and Jimmy Christiansen in San Francisco, whose responsibility is compliance matters. They join Jeff Southworth and Samantha Berman.

CommerceGate offers clients a suite of interoperable payment services with features including real-time updates, a stats interface, fraud protection, secure access management, online tools and exclusive client and end-user support.

CommerceGate clients can accept credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Maestro, Solo and Electron. With CommerceGate, clients can process transactions in euros, British pounds, U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Swedish kroner, Danish kroner, Norwegian kroner and Japanese yen. Other currencies are added on a regular basis.

Christiansen, Southworth and Berman will be available for consultation at the Adult Entertainment Expo and Internext shows in Las Vegas in January. CommerceGate also is a seminar sponsor at Internext.
