Falcon Makes Euro IPTV Deal With Marc Dorcel

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay production company Falcon Entertainment has partnered with European adult IPTV provider Marc Dorcel to distribute Falcon’s catalog of titles.

The exclusive deal will enable Falcon content to be broadcast in France, Belgium and Switzerland.

"As the marketplace shifts increasingly to the new VOD mediums, it is vital that we have a solid strategy and experienced partners in growth markets like French Europe,” Falcon President Todd Montgomery said. “Marc Dorcel can deliver this. Dorcel is the proven and uncontested leader in the French adult IPTV-VOD markets, both straight and gay."

Dorcel distributes to more than 70 percent of the adult IPTV markets in France, Belgium and Switzerland, and provides a satellite TV service with more than 600,000 subscribers throughout Europe.

"Dorcel has built French Europe’s highest quality and most successful IPTV-VOD system. This agreement will give Falcon access to hundreds of thousands of potential new customers. We are very pleased to be working closely with a respected company like Marc Dorcel," Montgomery said.

In business for 25 years, Dorcel launched its first VOD network in 2001, helping to introduce adult-themed content into the European VOD markets.

Falcon Entertainment, one of the mainline U.S. producers of gay content, recently celebrated its 35th anniversary and is currently producing four imprints that include its flagship Falcon Studios, Mustang Studios, Jocks and Falcon International.

"Falcon is well-known and respected by the gay audience throughout Europe. I am very excited to be able to bring the legendary Falcon content to those fans. I know it will be a big hit with them," Dorcel President Gregory Dorcel said.
