FlashCa$h Opens New Headquarters in Toronto

TORONTO — Affiliate program FlashCa$h , operated by Dark Matter Development (DMD), has moved its headquarters from Barcelona to new digs in the Liberty Village area of Toronto.

“Moving to Toronto is a choice that we made as an investment in the future of DMD,” DMD co-owner Buddy Love said. “We have big plans for the rebranding and growth of FlashCa$h over the coming year, and to achieve these plans we needed to bring our operations under one roof.”

As well as opening the new offices, the company has brought on industry veteran Mary Gillis, formerly with gay video-on-demand provider Maleflixxx, as their new director of marketing.

“It’s a mixture of wild and comfortable,” Gillis told XBIZ. “They are so many new people and so much to learn. I’m at a new company with a whole different business model and that’s a lot to learn in a short amount of time.”

“It’s nice in the adult market, because at the end of the day you’re selling a fantasy, so as long as you identitfy whose fantasy it is, you’re good to go,” Gillis said. “So I’m not concerned so much with moving from the gay side of the industry to the straight side of the industry, but moving from the pay-per-view to the membership model is a big step, and there’s a big difference in client behavior. That’s my big challenge.”

Gillis added that FlashCa$h co-owners Buddy Love and Jason Rhino have helped make her transition a positive one. Gillis also is currently looking to fill two positions on her marketing team.

Wasting no time in proceeding forward, she said that FlashCa$h recently has launched a new affiliate site called DesperatePopStars.com, which is produced by the company’s newest studio partner Tramp Stamp Studios.

The premise of the new site aims at the amateur/casting couch niche; with girls auditioning for a TV show similar to “American Idol.” When they can’t sing, then they must show impress the producers with other talents.

FlashCa$h currently operates 34 niche websites including VoyeurDorm.com, SpyCams.com, AdultMovieZone.com, GrannyFucking.com and SimplyGay.com, among others.

Gillis said also that, in November, the company will launch a complete revamp of its flagship site, FlashCash.com, just in time for the Webmaster Access show, to be held in Los Angeles. The launch also will introduce seven brand-new affiliate sites to the FlashCa$h program.

“We’re adding seven brand new sites, all super-reality content. People are going to go ape when they see it — I can’t announce it yet, but it’s going to be amazing,” Gillis said. “Of course, a whole new look and feel for FlashCa$h, so all of our existing webmasters will be thrilled to see the new design because it’s very user-friendly. We did a lot of usability testing to actually design it.”

“So, I’ve been focusing a lot of my attention on the next 18 months because we’ve got good, good stuff rolling out and I need to make sure that everybody knows it’s there. We’re going to be breaking new ground next month — new stuff that no one else is doing. I just can’t wait for the industry to get their hands on it,” she said.

Kicking off festivities at the company’s new facilities, FlashCa$h will host a housewarming Halloween Zombie Party on Nov. 1.

Noting that there is a thriving adult community in Toronto, and that Python.com and SexSearch.com are neighbors, Gillis said FlashCa$h is extending an invitation for guests to come and enjoy a ‘70s lounge atmosphere with cocktails, popcorn and horror movie classics like “The Creature from the Black Lagoon” and “The Blob.”
