Jason Sechrest Helms PR for KSEX

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Jason Sechrest of straight and gay adult site JasonCurious.com is now heading up the public relations department for the new incarnation of KSEX.com.

"I suggested that they needed [a public relations director] for a while," Sechrest told XBIZ. "I think it got to a point where they realized that at the rate the company is expanding and growing; they really needed a designated mouthpiece to do everything from promote to combat rumors."

KSEX recently went through a transitional period — the company is now in a studio more than twice the size of their previous location, and has a new program director, a new line-up and now a new public relations director.

"I started as a co-host and then got my own show — I feel like I've already been a huge part of this family for many years and a huge part of the reason why it's grown, so I'm happy to help with other shows," Sechrest said.

Sechrest also recently reformatted his own KSEX show to reflect what he said listeners want: "sex with substance." He ran a poll on his website regarding what viewers want to see, and reported that not one vote went toward simply watching people have sex. The top reasons viewers watch adult-radio talk shows were: to learn more about their favorite adult stars and because it's more entertaining than censored talk radio.

"I think the fact that KSEX offers more substance is what has made them the leader in adult talk radio stations right now — they have better numbers now than in their entire career. We offer more than just naked bodies. Naked bodies is not a rare gem difficult to find. You can get that any day of the week so there's got to be something else, and KSEX is offering the sex with the substance."

As for public relations, Sechrest's list of clients over the past few years includes Brittany Andrews, Ginger Lynn and Jill Kelly.
