SexEntertain Named Exclusive Distributor of New Vivid Feeds

LOS ANGELES — Leased-content provider SexEntertain has been given exclusive distribution and marketing rights to an arsenal of new Vivid titles never before available online. Each leased feed is categorized by niche.

"We relaunched and rebuilt the feeds from scratch under our architecture," SexEntertain co-owner Mike M told XBIZ. "We were able to integrate features that Vivid didn't have. It was a very big job."

Vivid Streaming Media offers brand-new content comprised of scenes from 500 Vivid DVD titles.

He said the feeds are updated weekly, encoded for both Flash Video and Windows Media Player, and are compatible with broadband and dial-up speeds.

Mike M said that Flash was a key component that Vivid wanted SexEntertain to include in its revamping, and now that the new feeds run on the provider's own platform, he said, the feeds can be launched and updated on a more frequent basis.

"This is basically the only place you can find this material for lease," said, Mike M, adding that SexEntertain gutted Vivid's existing feeds to replace them with the new, niche-specific ones.

Mike M also said he's made similar deals with Full-On Video and Cherry Boxxx, and now offers webmasters an exclusive feed plugin for SexSearch.com.

"We've been in the content business since 1998," he said. "I think [Vivid chose us] based on our reputation. We worked very closely with them to get the feeds up the way they wanted it."

Vivid Mike told XBIZ that SexEntertain's track record was what initially attracted him, and once he saw the final versions of the content feeds, he knew Vivid had made the right choice.

"When I saw [the final product], I was like, 'Yeah, these guys really know what they're doing,'" Mike said. "They're a good company that's been around for a long time and are pretty easy to work with."
