According to Video Secrets President Gregory Clayman, the company had been looking for male talent to add to the popular live video chat show and Jeremy was the perfect candidate both in terms of his popularity among male viewers and his recent foray into mainstream television and film work.
"Jenna was the first exclusive live chat model and the show has now expanded into quite an array of talent. Ron is a welcome addition to the family," Clayman told XBiz. "Ron wouldn't be in the business as long as he has been and be the most recognizable film star in the world if he wasn't a true professional at what he does. He's a fan favorite and everybody loves him. He's a man's man."
Jeremy told XBiz that the deal with Video Secrets is his first official live chat show contract, after making a guest appearance on Flirt 4 Free in 2002. He will also make tradeshow appearances to promote the show.
"A live show is challenging and good practice for an old timer like me," Jeremy told XBiz. "I love the guys over at Video Secrets. They have the biggest names locked in and a lot of pretty women. How can you go wrong? This is all a good test for me."
Jeremy is currently under contract with a long list of other companies, including a video deal with Metro Studios, a novelty contract with Las Vegas Novelties, Porn Star Clothing, Coxman Toys for a Ron Jeremy action figure, Rock Hard Glass, a hot sauce company, and a website deal for RonJeremy.com.
Jeremy has also just become the newest spokesperson for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). He will appear in a national ad campaign titled “Too Much Sex Can Be A Bad Thing” promoting the spaying and neutering of animals.
Jeremy's first appearance on Flirt 4 Free is scheduled for Nov. 17. with Trina Michaels and Tyler Wynn.
Jeremy can next be seen in a feature film titled "L.A. Riots Spectacular" along with Emilio Estevez and Snoop Dog.
