Pornhub Unveils New Tagging, Verification System for Content Collabs

MONTREAL — Pornhub has announced the upcoming rollout, over the next few weeks, of a new tagging system called “Collaborators,” which will send consent verification requests to verified models appearing in creator content.

The Collaborators system was announced Thursday through the Pornhub blog.

The new feature, the blog post explained, will provide creators with “a streamlined experience that is more in line with processes they may be familiar with on other content monetization platforms.”

“We’ve tested the prototype with a few models to validate that the tool meets your specific needs, is functional and easy-to-use while adhering to our compliance standards,” Pornhub informed models.

Starting Sept. 3, new videos will only be published if IDs and proof of consent for all co-performers featured in the content have been submitted and approved.

Creators are encouraged to immediately upload a release form for all co-performers for whom they do not already have one on file, or else to have those co-performers complete the process digitally using eSignature. If IDs or proof of consent are missing, this will delay new video releases and can affect monthly payouts.

Providing both ID and release forms became mandatory for all new co-performers appearing in new content as of Jan. 23. As of Sept. 3, this requirement will be extended to include existing co-performers when they appear in new videos.

“As industry leaders, we consistently update our Trust and Safety Policies to protect you, your content, and our community,” Pornhub explained through the statement. “We hope that the new tagging system will help speed up our co-performer verification and video approval processes.”
