MUMBAI, India — “Bad Toys Inc.,” a 45-minute program surveying India's pleasure product industry, will debut Friday on Indian streaming platform DocuBay.
The new documentary, airing on the IN10 Media Network-owned platform and produced by Black Iris, will “offer a peek into the country’s evolving attitudes towards pleasure products,” a rep commented.
“Bad Toys Inc.” features interviews with sexologist Dr. Prakash Kothari and leading players in the Indian sex toy market, including Besharam’s Raj Armani, and emerging sex toy startups like Sangya Project, That Sassy Thing and LoveTreats.
In the documentary, Armani explains that “the toy is merely a piece of rubber or silicone — it is your imagination, what it makes it out to be.”
According to Variety, the program will “delve into regional preferences, consumer stories and industry insights” as well as touch on “legal aspects and historical context of pleasure accessories in India.”
DocuBay COO Girish Dwibhashyam told Variety that “Bad Toys Inc.” is “a novel viewing experience that uncovers surprising facts about the Indian market,” while producer Richa Sahai noted “the challenges and excitement of creating content on this taboo topic.”
"Bad Toys Inc." will also stream on Amazon Prime.
