Vendo to Hold Quarterly Merchant Conference

Vendo to Hold Quarterly Merchant Conference

LUCERNE, Switzerland — Vendo Services has scheduled its next quarterly Merchant Conference for Thursday, June 15.

Vendo Merchant Conferences enable online merchants to optimize their operations by learning more about hot-button trends, resources and innovations in payment processing. Delivered in an interactive format, they feature industry insights from Vendo leaders and invited experts, while providing a forum to network with other business leaders.

CEO and President Mitch Platt will kick off the conference with company updates on Vendo’s most recent efforts to help merchants mitigate risk and boost revenue growth. Next, Xisca Pericàs, director of data science at Vendo, will analyze the current and future business implications of AI, followed by Craig Savage, co-founder and head of AI and technology at FERO Payment Science, and a two-time winner of the Ekata Mastercard Innovation Award.

FERO is an AI-centric startup that helps businesses improve their conversion rates by preventing abandonment risk during the checkout process, while mitigating the risk of fraud. Founded in 2022, FERO has quickly garnered recognition and was named Most Innovative Merchant Service at the PAY360 Awards, which recognize excellence in the U.K. payments industry.

“Merchants dedicate significant resources to attract and retain visitors on their website,” Savage explained. “Yet some overlook the massive impact of payment friction, which causes nearly 70% of potential customers to quit the payment process. FERO clients report an average 14% revenue boost thanks to our solutions, capable of predicting cart abandonment with 95% accuracy and fraud detection with 99% accuracy.”

The event will also include updates on SEPA and new Visa rules from Director of Payments and Risk Fernando Latorre, as well a Vendo tools workshop from COO Thierry Arrondo.

“Vendo is driven by two main goals: to help merchants reach their highest potential and to create raving fans,” Platt noted. “Our quarterly Merchant Conferences help us advance on both fronts.”
