HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Director Will Ryder has wrapped principal production on “Love, Sex & Throuple Trouble,” a new comedy feature for Adam & Eve Pictures, starring Vanna Bardot.
“Love, Sex & Throuple Trouble” shines a light on “the growing practice of couples adding a ‘sister wife,’ which some refer to as a throuple,” a rep explained.
Ryder says that although at first he did not know what a “throuple” was, “we had a lot of fun creating this scripted relationship comedy.”
“I had heard the term ‘sister wife,’” he explained, “but the subject was mostly brand new territory for a lot of us, so I wrote the story centered on an LAPD detective played by Vanna that’s in a dead-end marriage, and who enlists the help of a cute grocery store clerk to help save her relationship.”
Newcomer Athena Anderson joins Bardot in the ensemble cast which includes Anna Claire Clouds, Dakota Tyler, Cassie Del Isla, Lucy Doll, Nathan Bronson, Charles Dera, Brad Newman, Dorian Del Isla, Frank Bukkwyd, and Lily Craven as the loud-mouth, meddling mother-in-law.
“I love this cast as they had the perfect combination of sex appeal and humor,” co-producer Scott David added.
Earlier this year, Ryder directed Bardot in the 2023 XBIZ Awards-nominated “Love, Sex & Music.”
