ASACP Offers New Membership Level for Content Creators

LOS ANGELES — ASACP has introduced a new membership level to make it easier for content creators and smaller operations to join the organization.

"By joining ASACP, content creators can help prove and improve their compliance with child protection rules," said executive director Tim Henning. "In addition, they can directly report any CSAM incidents and actively protect their online reputation."

"As the industry changes, performers increasingly control production and ASACP is embracing this evolution," he added.

Content creators interested in an easy, verifiable way to demonstrate their commitment to child safety can join ASACP at the new membership tier for $200.

"The association’s sponsors and members show their support for our industry’s child protection efforts because it’s the right thing to do," said Henning. "This can be as simple as boosting public awareness by displaying their membership credentials in their social media accounts."

A rep noted the further benefits of ASACP membership.

"Creators also benefit from ASACP’s free child protection resources, such as its market-specific best practices and comprehensive code of ethics for age-restricted content publishers," the rep said. "In addition, by using the association’s Restricted To Adults meta-labeling system, which helps prevent children from accessing adult-oriented web pages, creators with a website or app have an indispensable asset that proves they care about keeping minors off their site."
