GENEVA, Switzerland — Clips4Sale and adult industry attorney Corey Silverstein recently prevailed in a decision against the holders of the Clips4Crypto.com domain.
A complaint regarding Clips4Crypto, which Silverstein contended was “confusingly similar” to his client Clips4Sale, was filed with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) arbitration and mediation center on Nov. 23, 2021.
After an in-depth investigation, on Feb. 11 WIPO concluded that the domain was registered “in bad faith” and ordered the domain Clips4Crypto to be transferred to Clips4Sale.
GoDaddy.com, the service by which Cryps4Crypto was originally registered, was given until the tenth business day post-notification to effect the transfer.
“Although it is unfortunate my client was forced to pursue formal legal proceedings, we are pleased with WIPO’s decision in this case,” Silverstein said.
“Clips4Sale will not tolerate the abuse of its intellectual property and will aggressively pursue all infringers," added Silverstein.
