Amberly Rothfield Talks Twitter Suspensions With Rolling Stone

LOS ANGELES — Industry marketing expert and business mentor Amberly Rothfield shares her insight with author EJ Dickson in a new Rolling Stone article about social media de-platforming, specifically regarding sex workers and Twitter.

"Amberly likes to keep an eye on social media platforms to test if their algorithms are changing. She has been tracking thousands of Twitter accounts and has seen an increase in the number of accounts being deleted and suspended," noted a rep.

Rothfield joins industry attorney Corey Silverstein, Goddess Aviva, Fetish Con Founder Genesis Lynn and FanCentro's Kat Revenga in recounting "concern over Twitter’s actions and the frustration that it has caused. It isn’t only individual models who are having problems," the rep explained. "The Twitter accounts for Fetish Con, Clips4Sale and ModelCentro have also had issues without warning."

Rothfield said the deletions and suspensions appear to be "part of a larger trend."

"It isn’t just happening in our industry, but it does disproportionately harm models who rely on Twitter for marketing themselves," she said.

In related news, Rothfield recently penned a new article intended to assist models with platform deletion as well as the potential ramifications of major credit card companies cutting ties with Pornhub, and has authored a guide titled "Marketing for Marginalized Models."
