Stripchat Offers Free Advertising to Small Businesses Struggling During Pandemic

NEW YORK — Stripchat has launched a promotional campaign designed to assist small businesses negatively impacted by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic by offering free advertising on its site via branded T-shirts worn by its featured cam models.

Besides the T-shirts, Stripchat will promote linkage to the small business website and social media channels within the cam model's public chat, alongside her show, to help drive traffic.

Small business owners who wish to take part in the promotion should submit a request, including a company logo for the T-shirts and a summary of how the pandemic has affected their business, to smallbiz@stripchat.com.

Submissions will be accepted until 12 midnight (EDT) on June 30. Any small business may apply.

"Business owners will be notified of their acceptance by a Stripchat representative. The applicant will then be asked to share the company’s logo, and Stripchat will create a branded shirt for the business free-of-charge," a rep explained. "All branded shirts will be sent to the site’s most popular models to wear for the next 30 days and videos of some live streams will be shared via the official Stripchat account on Twitter."

The new campaign follows other coronavirus relief efforts enacted by Stripchat, including double payouts for Italian models in the early weeks of Italy's lockdown, and doubling payouts in May to all adult stars streaming from Stripchat.

“We’ve seen millions of small businesses across the United States be absolutely decimated by the economic downturn that has resulted from COVID-19,” said Max Bennett, VP of New Media at Stripchat. “Some of our models let us know that their fans have turned to them to voice their anxieties about the vitality of their own businesses, so we decided to do something that would allow us to give back to our community on a very local level. We want to help the mom and pop pizza parlor that’s been in business for decades or the barber shop you frequent regularly by allowing them to tap into our user base of over 30 million members and ultimately gain the exposure they deserve during the pandemic.”
