AWSummit Launches AWMeetup Online Event

BUCHAREST — AWSummit has launched AWMeetup, an online event intended to bring the industry together for business in a time when travel restrictions make it impossible to meet face-to-face.

Set for April 27-29, AWMeetup will offer participants a livestream talk show with expert guests from the industry to discuss various topics.

On the first day, a speed networking session will pair attendees with a potential new business lead based on the type of ticket they register with. The session will provide participants with up to three minutes of cam-to-cam time to discuss new business and exchange virtual business cards.

Among other interactive features, the event offers roundtable sessions where all participants can start a discussion room with up to six people on cam at the same time and chat, and free virtual booths for every company that wants one. Exhibitors can have their own branded spot during the meetup, with opt-in offers, a video explaining their business and the ability to chat with attendees on cam.

“AWSummit has always been about bringing the industry together to do business, share education and experiences,” said Event Director Roxana. “So this is what we want to do with our new free online event AWMeetup.”

“It’s important to add that this is not a replacement for our beloved AWSummit,” noted AWSummit and NightProwl Studio founder Alex Gheorghe. “The dates for AWSummit are still set for August 25-28, but we are monitoring the situation around COVID-19 from day-to-day and will come back with a statement regarding this at the end of May.”
