Rock Candy Toys, Bedroom Products Launch 'The Sex Must Go On' Campaign

LOS ANGELES — Rock Candy Toys and Bedroom Products are offering low-cost sex toy kits and self-care resources as part of their promotional campaign titled "The Sex Must Go On."

According to the company, the campaign and kits are intended to serve consumers that are seeking a sense of connection and fulfillment during the COVID-19 crisis.

Items in Rock Candy’s solo Self-Isolation Masturbation Kit include one Gummy Ball wireless finger vibrator, Fun Size Lala Pop mini wand and a Mega Mini single-speed bullet vibrator.

The Partner Pleasure Quarantine Kit contains one Gummy Bear vibrator, a three-pack of super-stretch Gummy Rings, a Taffy Puller pleasure stroker and three complimentary packs of Poppin’ Rock Candy oral sex crystals.

Rock Candy chose the specific products to offer an economical variety geared towards consumers of all sex toy experience levels. Both are individually valued at an MSRP of $50 and are being sold for $35 each.

“We are all doing our best we can, with the resources we have, to cope and find pleasure during this unpredictable pandemic,” stated Casey Murphy, marketing director for Rock Candy Toys. “As a sexual wellness company, we feel an obligation to help consumers focus on pleasure and love, and we are being called to step up right now, to help lead our community towards feeling good.”

Murphy continued, “in a situation like this, it is important to identify the ideal state of mind we want to achieve — perhaps the feeling of safety, calm or resilience. Pleasure, whether solo or partnered, gets us out of our minds, into our bodies, and provides refuge when we are in the moment. Sex and pleasure should be a priority — that intimate connection is an avenue of nourishment that everyone deserves to experience right now.”

To support the campaign, Rock Candy’s "Self-Isolation Self-Care" blog series offers a multitude of sex-positive mind and body tips ranging from orgasmic energy techniques to cultivating joy, mentally and sexually.

“With the majority of Americans staying home right now, people will naturally be more sexually active,” said Tracy Leone, director of sales. “We are dedicated to providing creative opportunities that offer genuine value to our customers.

“Any online visibility that we acquire in this process will hopefully create a demand for Rock Candy in retail stores, and therefore benefit adult novelty businesses in the long run,” she added. “We are open to any additional ways in which we can support consumers, our distributors, and retailers during this time.”

Bedroom Products, Rock Candy’s sister company, is also participating in the campaign with a solo pleasure kit, couples pleasure kit and a free condom giveaway.

Both individual sex toy kits are now live on the Bedroom Products website; including the Self-Isolation Masturbation Kit geared for solo pleasure, and the Partner Pleasure Quarantine Kit curated for couples.

“Offering pre-selected, low-cost kits will hopefully help remove extra guesswork during the product selection process for consumers who are new to sex toys but don’t know where to start,” Leone said. “With more people staying at home, either together or alone, now is the perfect time to explore new ways to feel good, relax, and find pleasure in the midst of a pandemic. Additionally, offering free condoms to 18-plus consumers may help prevent unwanted pregnancies for the inevitable COVID-19 baby boom, arriving next December!”

The Partner Pleasure Quarantine Kit includes one Stroke masturbation sleeve, a two-pack of Climax clitoral arousal gel, and a two-pack of Vibe mini bullets. The Self-Isolation Masturbation Kitcontains one Stroke masturbation sleeve, a five-pack of Last ejaculation delay spray bottles, and two six ounce bottles of Smooth water-based lubricant.

Kits will also come with three complimentary packets of Clean pH-balanced antibacterial wipes for a quick cleanup in a pinch, inside or outside of the bedroom.

Items were selected based on target demographic appeal, while extending an affordable price point for those who may be financially impacted by the pandemic, the company said. Each kit has a retail value of $48 and are selling for $35 each.

In addition to the low-cost sex toy kits, Bedroom Products is also shipping free Lockdown Latex condoms to customers over the age of 18. To receive a free four-pack of condoms, a valid email address is required on the Lockdown Latex page, which will generate an instant promo code for checkout, discounting condoms and shipping to $0.

“The general U.S. population is facing an increasing amount of stress every day, every time they turn on the news,” Murphy said. “People are concerned about their basic needs being met with the potential shortages of food, toilet paper and other daily essentials; safe sex products should not be on that list. We hope that the Lockdown Latex free condom promotion provides a little uplifting and assistance to whoever may need it.”

All Rock Candy Toys and Bedroom Products orders are shipping from a single-employee operated facility, maintaining daily cleaning protocols, and will be processed as quickly as one-to-three business days Monday through Friday.

Complimentary Lockdown Latex condoms are available to U.S. residents only, one four-pack per customer, while supplies last.
