Pipedream Implements New Coronavirus Safety Measures

LOS ANGELES — Pipedream Products has implemented a strategic plan to keep employees safe while continuing to support wholesale and retail partners during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement released today, reps said that amidst a period of global uncertainty, the company's "highest priority is the health and well-being of its staff and partners."

As per the announcement, shipments out of China will be delayed for approximately two months, which will affect manufacturers across all industries. Pipedream says that they are working to help keep retail shelves stocked during this difficult time.

Pipedream is still accepting orders and is offering its customers "virtual showroom tours" with sales and training staff via video conference.

Pipedream's catalog features several ready-to-ship lines, including the award-winning King Cock that's made in the company’s state-of-the-art factory in North America.

Regarding safety measures rolled out in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, Pipedream has implemented several precautions, including suspending all air travel for its employees, both domestic and international, until further notice; offering staff the option to work remotely; and implementing a digital educational program to support telecommuting.

Pipedream also announced that they will not be attending any industry shows for the time being.

Company reps say they hope that the new measures will help reduce the risk of infection to employees and their families while still keeping the supply chain moving.

“We appreciate our customers' loyalty and value the trust they place in us as a manufacturer, and we want to let the industry know that we have specific measures in place to keep everyone safe while supporting the supply chain,” said CEO Matthew Matsudaira.

“This is a stressful and uncertain time with many businesses concerned about lost revenue and employees fearful about lost income. At Pipedream, we want to do everything within our control to support the industry while maintaining appropriate safety protocols for our most valuable asset: our people.”

Despite industry-wide strains, Pipedream reports that it actually saw 40 percent higher revenue for the first two months of 2020 versus the prior two months and that its North American factory is operating at capacity to meet accelerating demand.
