ExoClick Reveals Q1 Dating Statistics

BARCELONA — ExoClick has revealed its networkwide dating traffic statistics for 2019’s first three months.

According to the innovative ad company, each quarter it releases its network statistics in order to provide advertisers with business intelligence information so that they can make the right targeting decisions when buying ad spots. For Q1 2019 ExoClick examined two ad formats: push notifications and native advertising and their respective top five geos by market share.

“Push notifications is the ad format of the moment and during Q1, dating was one of the biggest verticals in the format’s top five geos, coming in at the No. 1 position in the U.S., Germany and the U.K. and in second place in India and Italy,” said a company representative. “Men’s Nutra products were the No. 1 vertical in India and Italy and the second most popular vertical in the U.S.”

The CTRs for dating traffic using push notifications are:

  1. Italy 2.21 percent
  2. U.S. 1.44 percent
  3. U.K. 1.16 percent
  4. India 1.11 percent
  5. Germany 0.97 percent

ExoClick’s Q1 statistics for native advertising also showed dating offers being a popular choice for advertisers in the top five geos for market share. Dating came first in the U.S., France and Italy and second in Germany and Spain.

The CTRs for native ads promoting dating are:

  1. Italy 0.2 percent
  2. Spain 0.14 percent
  3. France 0.13 percent
  4. Germany 0.11 percent
  5. U.S. 0.07 percent

“Our user base for push notifications has seen strong increases comparing Q4 2018 with Q1 2019. Active users have grown by 243.64 percent and subscribed users up by 107.28 percent,” said Evangelos Zirdelis, ExoClick’s sales and ad operations director. “Similarly we have increased the number of native impressions served in Q1 compared to Q4 last year with a 13.14 percent increase in impressions and a 25 percent increase in clicks. The popularity of the dating vertical shows how effective both these formats are for driving clicks to advertiser and affiliate offers.”
