LOS ANGELES — Tumblr replacement site newTumbl has reported the signing of its 100,000th user in the three months since its launch in January, a month after Tumblr announced its NSFW content ban.
According to the company, the newTumbl community is growing quickly despite missing the initial media hype and mad dash many other sites benefited from early on.
“Having this kind of success is even beyond our expectations,” says newTumbl Marketing Manager Jay, who notes the company tracks all the major players in the now crowded “Tumblr alternative” space. “[Our] nearest competitor doesn’t even have half the users we do [so] we are pretty humbled by the success and owe it all to our great fans and users.”
