NAPA, Calif. — Magic Wand is releasing new point-of-sale signage and marketing materials to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
“As a category originator and perpetual bestseller, there is a lot to celebrate. As difficult as it is to believe, the Magic Wand pre-dates the moon landing, bell bottoms and anything resembling the internet,” notes a company rep.
“Such a milestone doesn’t happen without the support of an industry that has stood behind this legendary device. Thanks to adult retailers, countless women claim the Magic Wand as their first, and favorite, vibrator. To show their gratitude, the team at Vibratex — Magic Wand’s exclusive importer — is releasing new point-of-sale materials that invite the consumer to step into the brand’s epic timeline.”
The campaign materials “feature a graphic timeline that includes iconic representations of events and items that have come along since the Magic Wand’s introduction in 1968. Consumers can walk across points in history depicted on a series of circular floor stickers that lead to a table sign asking them to add some ‘Magic’ to their timeline.”
The anniversary signage was designed to support and encourage retailers. “We owe everything to the stores and staff that represent us,” said Shay Martin of Vibratex. “They’ve are a big part of our history, and we created these materials with their loyalty in mind.”
Magic Wand will also unveil new details and updates at next month's ANME with an eye towards “extending the Magic Wand’s influence as it journeys into the next 50 years.”
