ASACP Names Its Featured Sponsors for September

LOS ANGELES – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of September. They include several media organizations, including XBIZ, as well as The Lion’s Den Adult Superstore.

ASACP’S Executive Director Tim Henning said the org’s Featured Sponsors “represent the pinnacle of adult entertainment enterprises, which take child protection seriously in their role as companies on the front lines of consumer choice, where they are able to make the most difference.”

The Featured Sponsors dedicate time, energy and resources to helping “keep kids safer in their daily digital lives,” Henning said. “We honor these caring companies for their commitment to caring for society’s most vulnerable members by supporting the association’s efforts, and encourage other companies to be inspired by this profound professionalism.”

All of ASACP’s industry supporters, said Henning, “help enable the association’s continuation of its award-winning services, including the Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label, market-specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics to guide companies towards child-safe operation.”

The nonprofit’s 22-year-long record of success includes its Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million CP reports to-date and exemplifies how ASACP makes effective use of its limited resources.

“ASACP works tirelessly to provide the business and technological resources for protecting children,” Henning said. “This is only possible due to the ongoing support of our valued sponsors and for this, we are truly grateful.”

The Lion's Den

An elite ASACP Title Sponsor, The Lion’s Den Adult Superstore is dedicated to providing consumers with the very best adult merchandise — including a wide range of toys, magazines, DVDs, lingerie, massage oils and gifts for both bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The Lion’s Den opened its first retail facility in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971 and has since then expanded to more than 40 locations throughout the country, each of which maintains the highest standards of customer service and professionalism bolstered by a courteous sales staff.

According to the company, it built its reputation on quality products and low prices from the very beginning, treating customers with the dignity and respect that forms loyal relationships — a focus on dignity and respect that it has extended its support of ASACP since 2006, out of a desire to protect children from exposure to products and services intended for adults only.

XBIZ
A founding Platinum Sponsor since 2002, XBIZ has a long relationship with ASACP, with both organizations founded by entrepreneur Alec Helmy.

XBIZ is the adult entertainment industry’s leading publisher of business news and information, providing up-to-the-minute coverage of the industry at XBIZ.com and in two trade publications — XBIZ World for the digital media market and XBIZ Premiere for the retail and intimate products market. In addition, XBIZ hosts multiple annual events in Los Angeles, Miami, and Berlin, including the red-carpet gala XBIZ Awards, XBIZ Cam Awards and XBIZ Europa Awards. Frequently cited in the media’s coverage of the industry, XBIZ is regularly featured in CNN, Fox News, Newsweek, MSNBC, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, CNET, ABC, USA Today and Los Angeles Times, among others.

Although it is an industry news portal, the XBIZ.com website sets a responsible example for the adult industry by using the RTA tag to prevent minors from accessing it. The company has also extended its generosity to the association by supporting ASACP’s attendance at its events.
