BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Playboy magazine and companion website Playboy.com are changing their company slogan from “Entertainment for Men” to “Entertainment for All.”
Cooper Hefner, Playboy’s chief creative officer, said the move is an effort to reach a broader audience.
“Playboy’s content has always been and always will be created with the male point-of-view and our take of masculinity in mind,” said Hefner, the youngest son of the company’s founder, Hugh Hefner, who passed away last year.
“But the truth is the Playboy brand now appeals to a hugely diverse group of fans, including in a very substantive way women who intersect with Playboy at our events, clubs and through our products and fashion collaborations," he said.
The May/June 2018 print issue of Playboy, which will include the new catchphrase, will hit U.S. newsstands on April 24.
The issue features Nina Daniele, the 2018 "Playmate of the Year." Playboy.com will publish Daniele’s 11-page pictorial as it appears in the magazine.
