MONTREAL — Mile High Media founder, Ted Blitt, was honored with the Industry Pioneer — Movies & Production award at the 2018 XBIZ Awards on Thursday, Jan. 18 in downtown Los Angeles.
Also among the winners were Mile High Media’s leading studios Sweet Sinner, Sweetheart Video, TransSensual and Lesbian X.
TransSensual’s showcase “Buck Angel Superstar” claimed XBIZ Awards’ Trans Release of the Year and the studio’s director Dana Vespoli was named Trans Director of the Year.
Sweet Sinner’s feature “The Stepmother 15” earned Taboo Release of the Year. Lesbian X’s “Tori Black Is Back” took home Best Scene — All-Girl Release (Tori Black with Aidra Fox). While Sweetheart Video’s political thriller “The Candidate” proved a strong erotic drama earning Mile High contract star Brandi Love the Best Actress — All Girl Release and Alec Knight Best Non Sex Performance awards.

According to a rep, the founder of Mile High Media, Ted Blitt has been in the adult content business for more than 25 years. His company entered the market as a Canadian licensee of mainly American erotica in 1989; from those beginnings it has gone on to be a global powerhouse in the creation of high-quality erotic content ranging from stylized gonzo to story-driven erotica.
