The panel discussion is expected to touch on the current political and legal climate in the U.S. and how that affects adult businesses, and the internal politics of the adult industry. Shalton also plans to discuss ASACP’s RTA (Restricted to Adults) label for websites.
The "Politics of Porn" panel also will feature Angelina Spencer from ACE National, adult performer Dave Cummings of DaveCummings.com, writer Darklady from YNOT.com, webmaster 12Clicks from 12ClicksCash and attorney Eric M. Bernstein.
"The Cybernet Expo brings together all the key players in the online adult industry, so it’s a perfect opportunity for ASCAP to get our message out," ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine told XBIZ. "It’s also a useful forum where we can hear from the companies and webmasters who support us, and where we can update them about our work protecting children on behalf of the industry, including the RTA website label. Cybernet is a very important venue for ASACP."
Cybernet Expo, an annual international tradeshow for online adult professionals, takes place from June 7-10 in Tampa Bay, Fla.
ASACP, formally known as the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 that is dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online.
