XFANZ Named Official Erotica Sponsor for Silver Lake Film Festival

LOS ANGELES — XFANZ has been named the Official Erotica Sponsor for the 2007 Silver Lake Film Festival, set for May 3-12 in Los Angeles.

The premier adult entertainment fan site will host the festival's special discussion panel on pornography, which will include Vivid-Alt directors Eon McKai, Vena Virago and Octavio Winkytiki.

The panel, "Porn — Past, Present and Future," is set for May 10 at 7:30 p.m. The Vivid-Alt directors also will showcase their movies at the Silver Lake Film Festival on May 5 at 11:45 p.m.

Silver Lake Film Festival Programming Director Roger Mayer will also serve as curator and consultant for the XFANZ Erotica Film Fest, set for Sept. 15-16 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, Calif., as part of the new alliance between XFANZ and the Silver Lake Film Festival.

“Roger’s expertise and enthusiasm is instrumental to the success of our film fest,” said XFANZ Managing Director Alan Hawkins. “He is a seasoned professional who creates amazing and dynamic film festivals. We are honored to gain him and the support of the prestigious Silver Lake Film Festival. Our affiliated film festivals offer an outlet for erotic filmmakers to submit and showcase their works. We are proud to host such an occasion.”

Mayer echoed that excitement.

“This is an opportunity to build a solid relationship between XFANZ and the Silver Lake Film Festival," Mayer said. "I see a beautiful relationship continuing for years to come. We are excited to participate in their festival in September. The future success for XFANZ and Silver Lake Film Festival is limitless.”

The XFANZ Film Fest welcomes short erotic films from fans around the world as well as from within the adult industry. The support of the Silver Lake Film Festival will aid in the submission process and provide an ideal forum to reach the innovative filmmakers of erotica.

Silver Lake Film Festival has provided a showcase for independent films and filmmakers in the Los Angeles area since 2000.
