The sites, which are currently in development, will draw content from ASM’s extensive rights to authentic Japanese anime like “Night Shift Nurses” and “The Last Kunoichi.” Holland plans to update the sites once per week.
“With all of the programs out there that we considered, NS Cash was the one for us,” ASM President Wendy Crawford told XBIZ. “Their strong track record and attention to this special market, and their willingness to truly supply the fans with what they want. For us it is also about working with people we trust and know will do the best job for us. We are glad to be a part of the New Sensations family.”
Holland told XBIZ that he expects the first anime site to launch May 1, with others to follow on a continuous basis. NS Cash will handle all the design aspects and online marketing activities for the sites, which will be rolled into the NS Cash webmaster program.
According to Crawford, anime content has a huge, loyal following on the Internet.
“ASM is a strong distributor of the hentai and anime niche,” she said. “NS Cash will be able to take this genre to the next level of distribution. Not only will we be offering our Japanese animation archive to the sites, but we also will be providing exclusive 3-D and CG [computer generated] titles as well, as part of this members site.”
