TORRANCE, Calif. — Global Electronic Technology Inc. parent company of OrbitalPay, has announced the appointment of Victor Marotta as executive vice president.

Marotta previously served as the vice president of Merrick Bank where he was responsible for the management of the underwriting and fraud/risk departments.

OrbitalPay President Steve Bryson said Marotta’s immediate task will be to manage GET/OrbitalPay’s push in to 2017.

“2017 is poised to be an extraordinary year for our family of companies,” Bryson said. “I am thrilled to have someone of Victor’s caliber coming on board to help me spearhead this growth.

“His 25 years of experience in credit, fraud, accounting, auditing, compliance and risk management in financial services make him an extremely valuable asset to this company.

"He has had success in senior roles at Planet Payment, First Data Corporation, and Merrick Bank. I have no doubt, he will have the same level of success at GET/OrbitalPay."

Marotta, upon the announcement, said it is an honor to be given the responsibility of managing and growing the Torrance, Calif.-based Global Electronic Technology Inc.

"Having worked with GET/OrbitalPay for many years in my previous roles, I have always been extremely impressed by the team and the direction in which the company was headed,” Marotta said. “I am very excited to now be a part of that team and look forward to guiding GET/OrbitalPay towards bigger and better things in 2017.”

Marotta will be attending XBIZ Show where OrbitalPay will be the 2017 registration sponsor.
