Nude-free Playboy Now on iTunes, Google Play

LOS ANGELES —  For the first time, Playboy magazine is available to subscribers in the iTunes App and Google Play stores, opening up another avenue of distribution as the company continues its transformation into a “millennial-facing” lifestyle brand.

"Since introducing a brand new vision for Playboy magazine earlier this year, we have expanded our distribution channels in many powerful ways, including higher visibility on an increased number of traditional and digital media platforms," Playboy Enterprises Inc.’s David Israel said.

"Inclusion in the iTunes and Google Play stores is an important milestone for Playboy as we continue to explore opportunities to introduce our content to new audiences all over the world."

Powered by the ZINIOpro platform, the digital version of Playboy is available to readers for $17.99 a year or for $5.99 an issue.

Earlier this year, Playboy shifted its focus in a bid to offer lifestyle content that is SFW and more widely distributed on social media.

The magazine still includes provocative pictorials of women, but without nudity.
