LOS ANGELES — VRBangers.com has announced the release of “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Cock,” available in 4K resolution 360° 3D VR.
VRBangers.com described “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Cock” as “one of the most ambitious porn parody films to date” and “a unique movie backed by a significant investment of resources in pursuit of the perfect adventure sex fantasy storyline."
"There are plenty of porn parodies on the market, but with a franchise like ‘The Hobbit,’ we felt there was a responsibility for our studio to produce a truly game-changing new title," said Boris Smirnoff, CTO of VRBangers. "The Tolkien story is beloved by fantasy fiction fans, and the series of Hollywood films produced have set a very high standard. With adult video consumers of VR content being among the savviest consumers in any vertical, this parody version needed to ring true in every regard."
According to Smirnoff, "VRBangers Director Mike Henigan scouted amazing locations, refined the script and auditioned many performers before casting an amazingly talented set of virtual reality muses to immerse the audience in the world of 'The Hobbit' from the very first frame of the film to the last."
Henigan said, "It was a big challenge for us, but we are always fueled (by) a passion for doing something much better than what's already all over the Internet for free. We have a lot of experience filming VR, so the technical challenges were actually the easier obstacles for our crew to overcome. As a huge 'Hobbit' fan myself, the real key was adding important layers like wardrobe and cinema-quality cosmetics to the production. And I'm confident fans will be thrilled with the final cut of this film."
A spokesperson for VRBangers.com said that in order “to make the parody scenes as close to the Hollywood films, makeup artists spent more than three hours working with each performer. Due to the unique elements of VR that allow viewers to alter the viewing experience to suit their own immediate interests, just gluing Elf ears onto an actor isn't nearly enough to create the believable illusion that viewers demand."
"It wasn’t an easy mission," said Daniel Abramovich, CEO of VR Bangers. "We're very proud of this film because we really pulled it all off well, and this is undeniably the first film of its kind. Setting new content goals and breaking through old barriers in creativity is one of the foundational characteristics of the entire VRBangers brand."
