ASACP Returning to European Summit in Sitges

BARCELONA — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to Sitges, Spain for the European Summit.

Set for Feb. 29-Mar. 3 at the Hotel Calipolis in Sitges, Spain near Barcelona, the European Summit is a major B2B conference for the online adult entertainment industry.

TES, ASACP said, “fuels stakeholder discussions of essential topics, such as the need to protect children online, and provides a vital venue where attendees can learn about the benefits and services offered by ASACP.”

Andreas Bischoff, organizer for the European Summit, said, “A truly remarkable team of individuals, ASACP should constantly receive support from our entire industry.”

ASACP said that the organization salutes TES for “once again providing ASACP with a display table where information about the association is available, along with prime banner placement to help raise awareness of ASACP, plus free show admission and a complimentary hotel room at the event’s venue.”

TES will host a benefit auction for ASACP on Mar. 2 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the hotel’s Sert Meeting Room, where two rooms at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and admission badges to this year’s Phoenix Forum will be up for grabs, courtesy of CCBill.

Also being auctioned, courtesy of TES, are two “Meet Market” tables and an entrance pass for each table at the Latin American Summit as well as two “Instant Promo Packages” for TES in Prague, also with one entrance pass each. Also, a special promo mailer and ASACP logo projection during the auction are being given to the association by TES, underscoring the event sponsors’ generosity.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning will be attending TES in Sitges.

“Year after year, TES has graciously supported ASACP and its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning said. “TES helps the association educate online companies about its Restricted To Adults, RTA, website label and Child Exploitation Reporting Hotline, which is only possible through the continued support of the digital media industry and the many companies that service it.”

Henning said that a declining budget and quickly evolving technology complicates the association’s efforts to keep children out of harm’s way online, and forces ASACP to seek creative ways of meeting its mission, while doing more with less.

“There are many ways that companies, groups and individuals can help ASACP make a difference as it evolves alongside a changing media industry and the new technologies it relies on,” Henning said. “One stellar example is the generosity shown by CAM4, which is sponsoring my flight to TES, helping to make the association’s attendance at this valuable event possible.”

ASACP is also calling for additional donations from individuals or companies that can be auctioned off during the benefit auction.

Founded in 1996, ASACP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to online child protection.

ASACP is comprised of two separate entities: the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection and the ASACP Foundation.

The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization.

ASACP manages a membership program that provides resources to companies in order to help them protect children online.

The ASACP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The ASACP Foundation battles child pornography through its CP Reporting Hotline and helps parents prevent children from viewing age-restricted material online with its Restricted To Adults (RTA) website label: RTALabel.org.

ASACP has invested 20 years in developing progressive programs for protecting children.
