VAN NUYS, Calif. — Icon Brands, the five-year-old novelty company, today touted meetings at the recent ANME and XBIZ Show programs.
“We’re always looking for niches,” Icon sales exec Jenny Tse said, “and this time we found them in a very high-end but well-priced rechargeable silicone line called Linea, in a very fun approach to "kitschy" kits that has never been taken, and in an expansion of our Nines line that included fetish products for the first time.”
The company also introduced three exciting new signature pieces from its high-fashion, exclusive Bel Ami license, along with the formal introduction of Rocco Steele for Falcon, plus a range of complementary Falcon silicone pieces.
Tse said, “We congratulate Rocco on his XBIZ Gay Performer of the Year win on Friday night; his thousands of Twitter followers are no doubt buzzing.”
Icon brought their 30 foot-booth to ANME and then reset it in a slightly smaller form at the Andaz hotel, site of the 2016 XBIZ Show. Featured in the center of the booth was Linea, an award-winning designer line of rechargeable silicone, in four styles and eight colors, with MSRPs of $40 to $90. .
“Their whisper-quite motors are Japanese-engineered, the industrial design is exceptional, and the magnetic book-box packaging truly places Linea among the highest priced silicone, but at a decidedly mid-range price,” said Tse, adding, “the line has been remarkably well-received.”
Also featured were Kitsch Kits, The Nines Collection and the popular Fashionistas line of elegant, black glass fetish pieces.
“All in all it was probably our best show ever,” said Tse, adding, “distributor and retailer response was just tremendous across the board, and with the added benefit of the XBIZ show afterward, we were able to reinforce some great long-distance relationships. The year couldn’t be off to a better start!”
