TAMPA BAY, Fla. — Webmaster Central today said it is reporting a “drastic increase” in its clients' use of application-to-person (A2P) SMS technologies to deliver adult content directly to mobile users.
The company said it has seen a near 150 percent increase in clients needing customized solutions for delivering content through SMS via carrier platforms around the world.
"This is one of the hottest growing trends in adult content delivery, there’s no doubt about it," says Andy A, founder and CEO of Webmaster Central, which provides leased adult video content. "It’s not just about Europe anymore either, because we’re seeing demand for content delivery via SMS to mobile users in Central and South America, as well as Africa. It’s just amazing how quickly this is catching on."
Andy A cited a report in Transparency Market Research that said the global A2P SMS market will hit $70.3 billion by 2020, up from a mark of $50 billion in 2013. That growth, he said, is fueled partly by the growth in mobile banking and payment technologies, as well as an increased interest from companies to market content via A2P SMS.
"We have the ability to create customized delivery systems through our API and XML gateway, as well as through our white label platform, and that flexibility is winning us a lot of new business from companies looking to profit from the SMS rush," Andy A said.
