SegPay Returns to NASCAR in the Ford EcoBoost 300 on Nov. 21

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — SegPay has announced it is the primary sponsor of NASCAR driver Garrett Smithley, who will make his Xfinity Series debut in the No. 70 SegPay Chevy, at Homestead-Miami Speedway's Ford EcoBoost 300 race on Nov. 21.

"The Ford EcoBoost 300 is an important race for drivers, as the last race of the 2015 season it is also the last chance for drivers to show what they’re made of,” said Cathy Beardsley, president and CEO of SegPay.

"At SegPay, we show what we’re made of every day, putting our customers first as we safely handle all their transactions and protect them from fraudulent activity with our state of the art fraud mitigation system,” she added.

This is the third race of the 2015 NASCAR season in which Smithley will drive the fully branded orange and blue SegPay vehicle. Smithley competed in the SegPay branded race truck in both the Pocono 150 in August and the NextEra Energy Resources 250 in February. The sponsorship includes both on-track and online racing sanctioned by NASCAR.

"This is the last race of the season, the one where the most promising and seasoned drivers battle for the series championship," Smithley said. "I’m so proud to get the opportunity to be on the track among them and to be backed by SegPay, one of the fastest payment processors on the planet."

The partnership has allowed SegPay to move into expanding segments of e-commerce, including online gaming. The company believes that the mainstream appeal of NASCAR will allow online consumers to become more familiar with the payment processor.

"Just like NASCAR drivers, we want consumers to associate SegPay with speed and accuracy, along with allowing them to become more familiar with the SegPay brand," Beardsley said. "We’re so proud of Garrett’s progress this year and can’t wait to see how he finishes the season."

The Ford EcoBoost 300 starts at 11:45 a.m. (PST). Coverage will air on NBC.
