LONDON — One year after demonstrators convened outside Parliament to protest a change in regulations for online adult content distributors, organizers are planning another one.
This year’s demonstration, called “(Pro) Porn Protest 1 Year On,” is slated for Saturday, Dec. 12, at noon at the Old Palace Yard opposite the Palace of Westminster.
Hundreds attended the December 2014 protest outside Parliament; a similar event was held in Manchester in March.
Organizers for the Dec. 12 demonstration have come up with a theme and tagline asking, “One year on from the porn protest, and where are we now?”
Last December, the Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014 took effect, effectively banning acts of female ejaculation, spanking, fisting, water sports and other types of strong explicit content from streaming online in the U.K.
This year’s slate of activities at the Old Palace Yard include speeches from numerous adult entertainment figures, including Jerry Barnett, Charlotte Rose, Jane Fae, Pandora Blake, Megara Furie, Ant Bridle and Zara De Rose, among others. The event also will include live entertainment and a fundraising effort.
