HoloFilm Launches '#GivePornAHand,' Unveils VR Hologram, Synthologram Scenes

LOS ANGELES — The top performers, producers, studios and companies in the adult industry are rallying together in a first-of-its-kind crowd-funding project to ask fans to help the biz, HoloFilm Productions announced Tuesday as it kicked off its "#GivePornAHand" campaign.

In exchange for that help, porn fans are being offered a whole new kind of XXX entertainment — Virtual Reality Hologram Porn.

“Today is a monumental day in the history of porn,” said Brian Shuster, CEO of HoloFilm and spokesman for the campaign. “We are releasing the world’s first Hologram porn scenes today, along with the world’s first Synthologram porn videos that feature 2015 Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite, 2015 Best New Starlet nominee August Ames, and performer and Director of the Year Manuel Ferrara along with the amazing talents of Adriana Sephora and Karlie Montana.”

All of this content is being released for viewing using Virtual Reality headsets, as well as in normal HD formats for fans who don’t have a VR headset yet. Sample non-nude, non-video hologram content is available for previewing with or without a headset at GivePornAHand.com.

“This content is designed to show fans just how unbelievably amazing Virtual Reality porn can be,” Shuster continued.  “But without a massive effort, the industry will not be able to afford to create any more content at this level, let alone the next level that we’re reaching for.”

The porn industry has suffered years of decline, which is attributed to the widespread growth of piracy and illegal tube-site distribution of their content. With most of the money having evaporated, the industry is left without the capital it needs to perform its historical function of leading new technological development and innovation, Shuster said

“The porn industry wants to start filming porn in holograms and Syntholograms, but the money just isn’t there to create this kind of content in a profitable way," he said. "This may be the first time that porn has failed to drive a new kind of technology, and if so, Virtual Reality may have a poor outlook with years of stunted development.”

To fix the situation, HoloFilm Productions has assembled a coalition of adult entertainment companies and people to connect with fans and crowd-fund the necessary development to start mass production of VR Porn.

The campaign is titled #GivePornAHand.

“This is a groundbreaking campaign that every fan should support," said Alec Helmy, publisher and president of XBIZ. "It offers the opportunity to be part of history by supporting adult entertainment's next giant leap forward with Virtual Reality.”

The crowd-fund campaign is being hosted by Indiegogo and can be found here
