LOS ANGELES — Director Will Ryder and X-Play reported a spike in sales of their XBIZ Award-winning parody "Jersey Boys XXX" as a result of the HBO movie of the same name currently playing on national cable TV.
Not only is HBO airing the story of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, which was directed by Clint Eastwood, but they have put it into heavy rotation.
"Every time I turn on HBO at night I see the movie playing which is a really good thing and I always pause to watch a little of it," Ryder said. "There is a direct correlation between exposure and sales," added X-Play co-producer Scott David.
Tommy Pistol took home the XBIZ Best Actor trophy for his portrayal of Frankie Valli and the movie also picked up on Best Music and Best Director honors for Ryder.
"Playing the role of Frankie Valli was a high point for me because it is a great story and we did a pretty good job creating an entertaining parody complete with full production musical numbers which is really not as easy as it looks," Pistol said.
"Not Jersey Boys XXX A Porn Musical" stars Zoey Monroe, Carmen Caliente, Anya Ivy, Bailey Bae, Mila Blaze, Sunny Lane, Ryder Skye and Lucky Star. In addition to Pistol's turn as Valli, the male leads include Eric John, Chad White, Kurt Lockwood and Chad Diamond. Joining the cast is James Bartholet as the Hit Man, Roy Karch as the Mob Boss and Ryder himself as homosexual lyricist and record producer, Bob Crewe.

The movie is exclusively distributed by Pulse Distribution.
