BRUNN AM GEBIRGE, Austria —Broadband video Internet and telephony provider UPC Hungary has appointed DIMOCO as its partner for the technical implementation of payment services across its mobile offering.
As a result of the deal, DIMOCO said it will handle UPC’s entire premium SMS transaction volume. Whenever consumers use premium SMS for their digital content, the transaction will be technically handled via the DIMOCO hub.
“With DIMOCO we have found a reliable and experienced premium SMS partner,” said Zoltan Csaszar, UPC’s mobile vice president. “As a virtual mobile network operator, this is exactly the kind of dynamic support we need.”
DIMOCO explained that in addition to its main business areas of video Internet and land line telephony, UPC Hungary is now a virtual mobile network operator. With the portfolio enrichment the company moves into the mobile industry, offering its customers the opportunity to pay for their digital content via mobile payment.
“Since our company was founded in the year 2000, we have been working intensively on expanding our carrier billing and mobile messaging hub. All company SMS and payment transactions are processed here," DIMOCO CEO Gerald Tauchner said.
He added, "We have also become one of the network operators’ leading integration partners. We are delighted to have won UPC Hungary as a new partner.”
