Elevated X Offers File Handling Tools

LOS ANGELES — Multiple award winning pay site CMS software provider Elevated X has announced a new feature that offers site owners the ability to create folders and upload files via its CMS admin panel.

In business since 2006, Elevated X’s pay site management software reportedly powers more than 2,000 adult sites, and has been nominated for more than a dozen industry awards — winning both the 2012 and 2014 XBIZ Awards for “Software Company of the Year.”

According to Elevated X CEO AJ Hall, the file upload feature allows a user to upload up to 20 files at a time via a convenient interface that enables users to upload any type of file they want, including audio, video and photo formats. Users can also upload a ZIP file containing content such as a full set of high resolution photos, and the CMS will automatically decompress the ZIP file and copy the content into a chosen folder.

“This eliminates the need for some CMS users to have to use FTP to upload content to their servers,” Halls says. “This is particularly helpful to less tech-savvy users.”

Hall explains that as more people update their sites with content shot on mobile devices, there’s a greater need to be able to upload files from any computer, with no need to deal with FTP software or remember server login credentials. By using Elevated X, users can create folders and browse their drives for multiple images, to upload via their web browser — a boon for mobile content producers.

“Another added benefit is increased security, since companies employing content managers or site update staff no longer need to provide them with access to their servers,” Hall adds. “With the browser-based uploading functionality, there’s zero concern of a questionable employee uploading a backdoor or other exploit or doing anything malicious due to having server access.”

The file upload feature is available to all Elevated X CMS users with servers running PHP 5.4.
