100 Guilder Productions Launches Traffic Generation Sites

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — 100 Guilder Productions has launched its first two word cloud advertising sites geared toward online adult entertainment.

Richard Victor, managing partner of 100 Guilder, told XBIZ that the new sites, 500AdultWebsites.com and 250GayAdultWebsites.com, will be operational later today.

Word cloud advertising – or tag clouds – operate like a search engine in reverse, having user-generated words lead to specific destinations. In Victor’s new websites, the words are sold to users.

“This is a similar concept to our pixel site from last year, but instead of using pixels, we use actual words,” Victor said. “The web page is covered with words in random order. These are keywords or tags and they’ve been researched as highly searched terms. So those who are interested in advertising on the site, basically buy the search term. To help it to stand out, they can include mouse-over tags (graphic icons that appear when the mouse passes over a word). The way that million-pixel homepages sold groups of pixels, this one instead uses words.

“It takes advantage of the search engine optimization, and that’s what people look for,” he added. “We can have up to 500 keywords, and people can effectively buy one of those words. With the words, they can link to any URL they want to, and since it’s a one-time fee, it’s much more economical than pay-per-click.”

Victor added that the biggest advantage in this system is targeted traffic and searching by words.

“They can have a keyword mouse-over so they can include their own unique selling proposition,” Victor said. “Someone promoting Lightspeed, for example, bought the word ‘cheerleaders.’ With the other website I just launched, 250GayAdultWebsites, there will be plenty of words to go around.”

The keyword tags will be available for two-year periods, and any URL can be embedded, including those with tracking codes and affiliate IDs.
