The deal calls for Mobile Streams to handle development and distribution of Private Media’s streaming mobile TV channels, video clips, games, wallpapers and MMS content.
Private Media Wireless Director Tim Clausen said the deal with Mobile Streams could add as many as 220 million potential customers to the 450 million customers currently able to access company content through its other portal partnerships.
"We are extremely happy to expand our footprint in these markets and believe this agreement further demonstrates Private's ability to attract mainstream content distributors in the wireless arena,” Clausen said. “It is estimated that the global mobile adult content market will grow to $3.3 billion by 2011. We believe that our ability to attract partners such as Mobile Streams places us in a unique position to benefit from this growth."
Mobile Streams CEO Simon Buckingham expressed his excitement about bringing Private content to his company’s mobile networks.
“We are delighted to be representing Private, a highly reputable tier one adult brand and to be distributing their content via our carrier partners," Buckingham said.
Buckingham said Mobile Streams would use Vuesia, its mobile content delivery platform, to distribute Private’s content.
