PITTSBURGH — Baci Lingerie will be sponsoring the annual student-run fashion show, Lunar Gala, at Carnegie Mellon University this Saturday, Feb. 15.
Attendees will be able to take in models showcasing hand-selected ensembles, including looks from Baci’s Black Label, White Label, Dreams and Envy Menswear lines, as well as the newly launched Corsets by Baci.
“By sponsoring an event such as Lunar Gala, we are helping to support and encourage emerging designers in the fashion industry,” said Christian Savoie, Baci Lingerie director of global sales and operations. "We encourage the next generation of fashion designers to be creative and be unique, and hopefully, they will be Baci.”
Lunar Gala is a student-run organization at Carnegie Mellon University devoted to promoting fashion talent and innovation throughout the campus community. Each February, Lunar Gala produces a fashion show that showcases students' work in fashion, dance and modeling. The show also brings together Carnegie Mellon designers, programmers, artists and technicians, to create the anticipated yearly event.
This year’s theme, Hypnôse, will incorporate kaleidoscopic videos, a Red Bull unusual materials competition, and wearable technology, event reps said.
“We are very excited to have Baci Lingerie featured in our show,” Lunar Gala’s Executive Producer Alanna Fusaro said. “Baci Lingerie will be featured in the first act of the Lunar Gala fashion show. We will be debuting a sneak peak of their corset collection. With their elegant designs and alluring accessories, Baci Lingerie will be a very sexy line that is well-anticipated by our audience.”
The 2014 Lunar Gala will be held at Wiegand Gymnasium on the Carnegie Mellon University campus. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. PST and the show will run from 8 p.m.–11 p.m.
Tickets range from $20 for regular admission to $30 for VIP admission, via Eventbrite. All tickets include free access to the Lunar Gala after-party at VILLA.
“Lunar Gala shines as an example of the innovative and interdisciplinary teamwork that can only come out of Carnegie Mellon,” Fusaro concluded.
