The contest, which was designed to help promote the August launch of the Vivid-Alt website, was won by Krist Sorge, who will have a role in the company’s upcoming film “EastSide Story.”
Sorge, a freelance commercial casting director based in New York, said he learned about the contest through Fleshbot.
"I wrote this essay where I said it was my grandfather's dying wish that I be in or witness a porn movie being made," Sorge said.
Sorge flew from New York to Los Angeles, where he met with Vivid-Alt producer Eon McKai, director Vena Virago and actress Dana DeArmond.
“‘EastSide Story’ is about how the art scene and the porn scene mix,” Virago said. “The movie takes a hardcore look at the hipsters and graffiti-art-types who inhabit the neighborhoods east of Echo Park in L.A. and is part documentary and part ‘art happening.’”
In addition to his speaking part in the film, Sorge was treated to a date with DeArmond as well as a studio party.
