LOS ANGELES — Baci Lingerie has donated 1176 new bras to the tornado victims in Moore, Oklahoma — a total retail value of $15,000, the company said.
The bras will be delivered to the XO (Hugs and Kisses) Oklahoma organization operated through The Kerr foundation.
XO was recently formed by The Kerr Foundation to gather and distribute new and gently used clothing and accessory items for women and men affected by the Moore tornado disaster.
“It’s so important to have an organization such as The Kerr Foundation, especially in times of crisis and chaos,” said Frank Koretsky, Baci Lingerie owner. “We are very happy to be able to help, and encourage other companies to do what they can to help; we hope this is a step towards healing and recovery for the women of Moore after this terrible disaster.”
The group will open a pop-up boutique in or near Moore in the next couple of weeks to provide a free shopping experience for local women.
Moore, Oklahoma, which is located in the middle of the infamous “Tornado Alley,” was hit by a EF-5 tornado on May 20. The path of destruction was 16.2 miles long and 2 miles wide, killing 24 and injuring over 377 others. Ten days later another tornado ripped through Moore, resulting in flooding and additional deaths and injuries.
XO continues to seek clothing donations for its store.
